Classes

I have space for private pupil sessions. Although not always exclusively one to one these lessons are geared for more regular lessons for people wanting to explore the world of jewellery making. If you are a beginner we will start off with the basics of measuring, cutting, soldering, designing etc. I will show you how to order materials and where to get the best prices. You will learn all the basic techniques needed to create your own beautiful designs and then pick and choose the techniques to help define your style. We will look at stone setting, torch enamelling, chain making, texturing, the world really is your oyster. I do not claim to know everything but I do know the workshop has most of the tools you need and lots of trick and tips to pick up. If you are more experience we can discuss your needs even if it is just to use more specialist tools or learn more advanced techniques. Sessions are usually two hours long and arranged to fit in with your schedule. Longer sessions are also available. Cost: £12.50 per hour with a minimum of a two hour session and include disposables and tea, coffee and biscuits. Metal and stones are available to buy at cost price.

Based on the same idea as the full day but run as a half day workshop from 10am to 1pm (or as per your requirement) The morning is spent making simple textured rings or if you are more advanced something more complex, we can discuss the details and bespoke your day. Silver and stones are not included but sold at cost price. Cost: £50 per person including disposables and tea, coffee, biscuits.

I offer a range of weekend workshops, normally these are run 10am to 4pm with a lunch break (bring a packed lunch) I run these classes on an individual basis so can be geared around your own needs from beginners to advanced. In the past year of running these weekend workshops I have run beginners days for groups of friends, families, parent and child days and couples. I can also supply gift certificates if you wanted to send someone a special gift and they can contact me to arrange a date. Most classes have been for beginners where we will learn how to make a simple textured ring in the morning and then on to make bangles, spinner rings or simple tube set rings however saying that I have had people make all manner of items it really comes down your own wishes. Silver and stones are not included in the price but are sold at cost price. Cost: £85 per person for the full day class including disposables, full tuition and tea, coffee and biscuits.      

Every Monday evenings mainly during term times but extra classes arranged with the group.
